Layers of London - Steel and Glass

Once a low height metropolis where St Paul’s Cathedral dominated the skyline, the last 80 years have seen London’s skyline transform dramatically with the introduction of tower block housing post-WW2 and more recently, steel and glass skyscrapers. I particularly enjoy looking at these buildings. Yes, they often clash with the brick buildings that often sit around them in the city, but it shows us that the city continues to transform to meet the needs of the modern era. There’s lots of conflicting angels and sharp lines in this architecture, making it an absolute treat for me to photograph.
