About

Hello. I’m Ryan, The Curious Londoner.

Originally from Scotland, I first visited the London in 2006, taking the Piccadilly Line from Heathrow to the city centre for what was only a brief 2 hour visit. I instantly fell in love. After countless more visits over the years since, I finally decided to say goodbye to Scotland and permanently relocate to London in 2023.

For me, London has an addictive allure that I just can’t resist. London is a city of over 8 million inhabitants. It’s a city of rags and riches, of extremes, of clashes, where royalty resides, politicians fight for power, and top paid executives make decisions from offices in glass towers while many fight to make ends meet. It’s a city steeped in history that has given so much to the world but also taken much from it, the good and the bad. It’s a city that has dominated the world but has also been destroyed several times. It’s a melting pot of cultures where you can hear the languages of the world spoken as you meander around its streets. London has an untameable energy that few cities can match. Some love it, some hate it, London can be intense. For me, it’s home.
